How long is each session?
Each session lasts 30 minutes, which includes warm-up, supervised slatmill exercise, cool-down, hydration, and a healthy treat.
What is a slatmill and how is it different from a treadmill?
A slatmil is a nonmotorized treadmill designed specifically for dogs. Your dog controls the speed at all times, making it a natural, low-impact, and safe form of exercise.
Is slatmill exercise safe for dogs?
Yes! Slatmill workouts are widely used by trainers and veterinarians because dogs control their own pace. Each session is fully supervised to ensure safety, comfort, and proper rest.
Do you come directly to my home?
Yes. Bark & Burn is a 100% mobile dog gym. We bring our fully equipped, climate-controlled van directly to your location.
Do I need to be home during the session?
Yes. An adult must be present to release and receive your dog before and after the session.
Can all dogs use the slatmill?
Most dogs can! Before the first session, we perform a short evaluation to ensure the slatmill is safe for your dog's age, size, and health.
How many dogs can run in one session?
We can accommodate 1-3 dogs per session. Dogs that are compatible may run together. Dogs who need space will be run individually during the same appointment.
What types of dogs benefit most from Bark & Burn?
Barnk & Burn is great for:

Is it safe for puppies or senior dogs?
Puppies 12 months and older and senior dogs may participate with age-appropriate pacing and lower resistance. We recommend consulting your veterinarian if your dog has health concerns.
What if my dog is nervous or hesitant at first?
That's completely normal. We allow dogs to adjust at their own pace. Some dogs love it immediately; others need a few sessions to build confidence.
Do you use motorized treadmills?
No. Our equipment is non-motorized, allowing your dog to run naturally and safely.
What should my dog eat before a session?
We recommend avoiding large meals within 1-2 hours before exercise. Water is encouraged.
Do you monitor my dog during the entire session?
Yes. Your dog is supervised 100% of the time. We monitor breathing, movement, energy level, and comfort throughout the workout.
Do you offer packages or monthly plans?
Yes! we offer single sessions, multi-dog discounts, and monthly subscription packages. Visit our Pricing & Packages page for full details.
What happens if case of an emergency?
In the rare event of an emergency, we will contact you immediately and may contact your veterinarian or the nearest emergency clinic if needed, per your signed authorization.
